Harrison Lake is approximately 40 miles long with many islands, creeks and a large glacier at the northern end of the lake. Also at the north end of the lake is a beautiful remote valley with a picturesque river called the Lillooet River. This river offers a great opportunity for visitors to experience a thrilling ride in a Jet Boat up the narrow shallow river. During high water we can also find a few rollers and rapids that will increase your blood flow.
At the southern end of Harrison Lake near Harrison Hot Springs Resort is the start of the Harrison River. Harrison River is known for its large salmon runs and great sturgeon fishing in the fall. Harrison River is also home to one of British Columbia's largest eagle migrations with thousands of eagles returning each fall to feed on salmon and spend the winter in more moderate climate conditions. On a good day you can witness 100's of eagles feeding on dead and live salmon.
